2016 NFL Mock Draft 4.0 (4-9-16)
To make this mock a little more interesting, I have incorporated a few trades that could take place in the first round. The Titans have been interested in moving down, and several teams have reached out to them for their offer. The question is, though, who would a team be willing to trade up for? Is Jalen Ramsey’s talent worth the gamble, or is Carson Wentz a popular pick? Let’s find out who moves up in the draft and who they select in my Mock Draft 4.0!

Discussion of the Top 10
1.) Philadelphia Eagles (from Tennessee)
The Pick: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State
Discussion: The 2016 NFL Draft starts out with a bang as the Eagles trade up for the number one overall pick. Although the Eagles just resigned Sam Bradford, Wentz is a player with potential that is worth the gamble for this pick.
2.) Cleveland Browns
The Pick: Jared Goff, QB, California
Discussion: The Browns want Wentz, but with him unavailable, they select the next best quarterback in this draft in Jared Goff. Like the Eagles, the Browns recently signed Robert Griffin III, but he may not be the long term answer. The Browns are desperate and are going to roll the dice with this pick.
3.) San Diego Chargers
The Pick: Laremy Tunsil, OT, Ole Miss
Discussion: The Charges sit back and select one of the best players in the draft by picking Laremy Tunsil. With Tunsil protecting Phillip Rivers, the Chargers may be able to rebound in 2016.
4.) Baltimore Ravens (from Dallas)
The Pick: Jalen Ramsey, S, Florida State
Discussion: The second trade in the draft is the Ravens swapping picks with the Cowboys. With this pick, they select the best player in the draft, Jalen Ramsey. With the addition of Ramsey, the Raven’s defense would dramatically increase as they push for a postseason run this fall.
5.) Jacksonville Jaguars
The Pick: Myles Jack, OLB, UCLA
Discussion: Myles Jack is a popular pick for the Jaguars. Being the best linebacker in the draft, the Jaguars fill a big need with a tremendous athlete. Unless something unique happens, expect Jack to be suiting up for Jacksonville.
6.) Dallas Cowboys (from Baltimore)
The Pick: Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State
Discussion: While moving back, the Cowboys draft a stud in Joey Bosa and receive more picks in later rounds. Bosa is a serious run stopper than will have an immediate effect for a Dallas defense that recently lose Greg Hardy.
7.) San Francisco 49ers
The Pick: Vernon Hargreaves III, CB, Florida
Discussion: With the top two quarterbacks gone, the 49ers are forced to compete another season with Blaine Gabbert and Colin Kaepernick. San Francisco selects Vernon Hargreaves III, one of the most underrated defense prospects in the draft. While they want a quarterback, the 49ers fill a need on the defensive side of the ball.
8.) Tennessee Titans (from Philadelphia)
The Pick: Ronnie Stanley, OT, Notre Dame
Discussion: The Titans get just what they wanted: Moving out of the number one pick and Ronnie Stanley being available for their first round pick. While the Titans get a solid tackle for protecting Marcus Mariota, they also receive picks in the later rounds to fill more serious needs.
9.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Pick: DeForest Buckner, DE, Oregon
Discussion: With Gerald McCoy being the only serious threat on Tampa Bay’s defensive front, DeForest Buckner luckily falls to number nine. Bucker has a high motor that will pair well with McCoy on the defensive front.
10.) New York Giants
The Pick: Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State
Discussion: The Giants have an interesting pick. With so many signings for the defense, the Giants could go a lot of directions with this pick. Jack Conklin is an underrated player that would help Eli Manning out significantly.
