Breakdown of the Top 5:
1. Cleveland Browns – Myles Garrett, DE, Texas A&M
Myles Garrett will be the first player off the board unless the Browns or another team trade up for one of the quarterbacks. He is the most talented player in the 2017 NFL Draft.
2. San Francisco 49ers – Malik Hooker, S, Ohio State
The 49ers will likely select a quarterback with this pick. As of right now, I think they will make a move for either Kirk Cousins, Tony Romo, or Jimmy Garoppolo, so they will go with defensive player here. With new GM John Lynch, I would not be surprised to see Hooker or Jamal Adams go off the board this early.
3. Chicago Bears – Mitch Trubisky, QB, North Carolina
Similar to the 49ers, the Bears will be looking for a quarterback unless they make a move prior to the draft. While the 49ers were able to, I don’t have the Bears doing so in this mock. Instead, the Bears select Mitch Trubisky, who has a similar playing style to Carson Wentz, the second overall pick last year.
4. Jacksonville Jaguars – Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama
The case could be made that Allen is the best player in the draft. The Jaguars picked the best player on the board with their first two picks in the 2016 draft, so I see them doing the same this year. Allen would be a force on an improving Jaguar defensive line.
5. Tennessee Titans – Marshon Lattimore, CB, Ohio State
The Titans have the 5th overall pick by way of the Los Angeles Rams. The Titans improved significantly in 2016, and will be looking to build on this heading into 2017. Cornerback is a major need for their defense, and Lattimore is one of the best players available.
I just turned out my 1.0 Mock. I’m not high on this OT class, but I don’t think it’s out of the question for those three to be over-drafted and go day 1. I’m with you on San Francisco passing on a QB at #2. I think they are going to make a play for Cousins or Garoppolo.

I’ll be sure to take a look at your work! The OT class is not as good as the 2016 class, but the value of the position is so high, which is why I think Ramczyk/Robinson will both be top 10 picks. A lot of these picks will change as free agency begins. The Browns, 49ers, Jets, Bears, ect are all in play for Kirk Cousins, Tony Romo, or Jimmy Garoppolo, so these teams won’t be drafting a QB. All we can do is guess right now, but we will have a better idea come April.
